With around 250,000 lakes and more than 100,000 kilometres of rivers, Ontario summers are all about ‘getting out on the water,’ and making a splash. But, where do you start? Here are a few splashy suggestions.  

4 Ways to make a splash this summer in Ontario

Stand up paddling

Stand up paddling (or SUP) is ideal for calm waters. The boards are broad and stable, and it's a great alternative to canoeing. Try SUP on Dow's Lake in Ottawa and Toronto Island or Bon Echo Park and Manitoulin Island.

Sail, ho!

If you're visiting Thunder Bay and are not a mariner, make a splash with Sail Superior. Sail Superior offers catamaran and monohull tours on Lake Superior or Zodiac adventures in Sault Ste Marie and Thunder Bay.
